1997-2012 Liberty Technologies Inc., MO/KS/MI (Consulting Engineer/Senior Project Engineer)

 

Originally hired as consulting engineer to develop tooling for a new General Aviation product line, the project quickly expanded into multiple simultaneous projects and is currently under contract review for 234 million as a Technology Transfer Program in 3 countries. My key strengths stem from Intellectual Property development over a 13 year period, leading to new manufacturing techniques and processes for a low cost gas turbine engine and advanced composite training rotorcraft.

1995-1997 Stitt Industries Inc., (NKC and Ex Spgs , MO ) (Special Project Engineer)

GM Cadillac Engine 4.1, 4.5, 4.9 Validation Project.)  

  • ·          Setting up a base line of the current manufacturing process;

  • ·          Developing new machining process for Validation Project;

  • ·          Develop new Vertical CNC machining cell processes for conversion full CNC machining production to 6 sigma;

  • ·          Develop custom TQM - SPC data collection stations for machining automation;

  • ·          Develop custom plant layout for machine and assembly plant operations;

  • ·          Develop and implement custom SPC system for quality control and monitoring TQM systems for GM Cadillac 4.1, 4.5, 4.9 series re-manufacturing engine plant;

  • ·          Developed Quality Reports to management for 100% inspection of all production runs by part;

  • ·          Document all mfg tolerances and hand build 48 prototype engines for thermal cycling, endurance and accelerated life testing to failure mode for Validation Project;

  • ·          Develop and Train all factory personnel for TQ program; plants tear down, remanufacturing and assembly for 50 engines per day.

1993-1995 Libby Welding KC, Missouri (Production Testing Engineer/Supervisor of Production Testing "Tactical Quiet Generators" Project).

  • ·          Mastering all phases of production testing;

  • ·          Sizes ranged from 5KW to 6OKW 50, 60, and 400 Hz, voltage range 120/208 to 240/416 up to 150 amps per phase.

  • ·          Raised Temperature in Hot Room for Endurance Testing;

1985-1993 Stitt Industries Inc., Liberty , Missouri (Electronic Project Manager/ Electronic Project Engineer)

 

I developed 9 unique OEM Contract Manufacturing Assembly lines, for both consumer and commercial products for the following OEM customers. Coordinate Project activities for Inside and Outside Engineering staff, 6 lead shift supervisors, and 50 production workers.

  • ·          Designed and manufactured a series of communications products, VOX (Voice Activated Products) for hazardous waste removal and public utility for loud noise environments. OEM Private Label Howard Leight Industries, 7 yrs. Theory behind Design.  

  • ·          Designed and manufactured a series of commercial grade CTCSS tone and scanning devices for portable two way radio after market. Maxon, Raven, 5 yr. Raven

  • ·          Designed and manufactured an inexpensive electronic motor controls for consumer grade appliances. OEM Private Label, Sandor Corp, BUNN commercial coffee makers and Max Buchanan Company consumer vibrators 3 Yr. (@ 45,000 units/yr.)

  • ·          Designed and setup a 5 series of Electric PM Motor Factory manufacturing plant in Tulsa , OK to handle consumer grade appliances, Zebco marine electric trolling motors, OEM Private Label Zebco, Max Buchanan Company. 6 months, (Capacity @ 480,000 units/yr.)   • ·          Develop and built two prototype 3 axis CNC custom quilting machines, work area 24 inches x 144 inches. Features included remote communications, scanning of photo to generate machine code conversion. Nolting’s Mfg., Inc. 6 months, (Capacity @ 1 unit per month) 

1984-1985 Maxon Electronics., Kansas City , Missouri (Regional Sales Manager for US and Central and South America )

  • ·                    Directly responsible for increasing Domestic and International Sales 300 % from 3 to 9 million delivered in 12 months.

  • ·                    Directly responsible f for 14 Territorial Sales Representatives Contracts and split the company into Commercial and Consumer Divisions with 28 territories with two separate Regional Managers.
